Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Humanform is an on-device reference app for anthropometry and ergonomics, made by Doug Kilby and Fieldwork. This policy covers the Humanform apps (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro, and the App Clip), the Mac command-line tool, the local MCP server, and this documentation site.
Contact hello@fieldwork.design with questions or privacy requests.
2. The short version
Humanform does not offer an account, and it does not run a server that calculates body measurements. Predictions are computed on your device. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use third-party analytics.
Apple processes App Store purchases. If you use iCloud, Apple processes the private database described below. This site is a static documentation site and does not ask you to sign in.
3. Predictions
When you choose a measurement, country, gender, age, and percentile, the app calculates the result on the device from data that shipped with Humanform. We do not receive the prediction, and we do not receive a profile of the measurements you look up.
4. Subscriptions
Humanform Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store with StoreKit. Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your payment card number. The app receives subscription status from StoreKit so it can unlock Pro features on that Apple ID.
5. Vault, personas, and photos
On iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro, personas, saved measurements, Vault subjects, and photos are stored with SwiftData. They can also sync through a private iCloud database, iCloud.com.dougkilby.Humanform.Cloud, in your own iCloud account. Humanform does not operate that database as a shared server and does not have a separate copy of it. If iCloud is off, that data stays on the device.
Apple Watch does not use that iCloud database.
You can delete saved work in the app. Data that has synced to iCloud is removed through your device and your iCloud account.
6. On-device writing features
Where Apple’s on-device system language model is available, search, measurement help, and some design tools can use that model on the device. Humanform does not send that work to Private Cloud Compute or to a third-party language model.
7. Mac command line and MCP
humanform-cli and the MCP server run on your Mac and use the same on-device grids. Humanform does not receive those requests. An agent application you connect, such as Cursor or Claude, may send tool results to its own service under that application’s terms.
8. Shared links
A link on share.humanform.app encodes a population prediction: the measurement, country, gender, age, and percentile. It is not a personal measurement and it is not the contents of your Vault. Opening the link can launch the app or the App Clip. The page itself does not ask you to sign in.
9. This website
docs.humanform.app serves these pages as static files from Cloudflare. The site does not use an account, cookies, or third-party analytics. Cloudflare processes the network request required to deliver the page, including the IP address of the connection, under Cloudflare’s terms.
10. Diagnostics
The apps write diagnostic logs with Apple’s unified logging on the device. Those logs are not sent to a Humanform analytics service.
11. Children
Humanform does not offer accounts and is not directed at collecting personal information from children. If you believe a child’s personal information has reached us, email hello@fieldwork.design and we will delete what we hold.
12. How long information is kept
We do not keep a Humanform account record of your measurements. Information you save in the app remains until you delete it, or until you remove it from the device and from iCloud. Purchase records are kept by Apple under Apple’s policies. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to answer you and to meet legal duties.
13. Your requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict processing. Email hello@fieldwork.design. We may need to confirm that the request is yours. Because predictions and saved work stay on your device and in your iCloud account, many requests are completed there, or with Apple for purchases, rather than from a Humanform customer database.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of anyone under 16.
14. International processing
On-device predictions are processed on your device. iCloud, the App Store, and delivery of this website may involve processing in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States, or other countries where Apple or Cloudflare operate.
15. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the changelog.
